Weight Loss Programs

Quick Facts on Weight Loss Programs and Weight Loss:
Tis the season to lose weight!
It makes no difference when you decide to lose weight in many cases it’s a life choice. People want to lose weight to live healthier lives. Once you make the decision to move forward and stick to a weight loss programme the season makes no difference. Some people try to rapidly lose weight before the summer (so they can look good on the beach) but this approach to weight loss is hit and miss. Weight loss is not just about “looking good” it’s about “living good”.
Eating low fat food DOES NOT WORK.
You can not lose weight permanently by eating only Low Fat Food. Low-fat eating has been there for over 25 years and yet our society gets bigger and bigger. More than 50% of the South African population is overweight. This fact alone would have to convince you that sticking to only a low-fat diet, does not help you lose weight and feel better about yourself. You need the right mental attitude along with a healthy weight loss program so you can learn to combine food and exercise for successful weight loss. Losing weight is 90% a mental battle.
Fitness Equipment alone, DOES NOT WORK.
Fitness equipment sell like hot cakes. People are not a gram lighter but for the exceptional few. Good intentions flow freely, but after a few days, your gym subscription sits unused in the kitchen.
Did you know that 86% of all fitness participants don’t finish their subscription. So STOP with the fitness program or lose weight if you want to lose weight. Are you one of those people? Try to combine a healthy weight loss program, with a fitness program, but don’t waste money if you’re not serious about losing the weight.
Low-calorie diets alone, DON’T WORK.
You will not lose weight through a low-calorie diet alone, you need to find weight loss programs that are healthy, and don’t make you feel sick. If you look at this type of dieting it is actually the worst thing you can do for your body. By low-calorie eating, you’re just slowing your metabolism so your body burns less fat. In the beginning you might lose a few kilos, but it soon slows down and eventually stops. Sound familiar?! Chances are, you have already read or heard, you can never lose weight by starving yourself.
What about the popular weight loss programs?
Weight loss programs like Weight Less or books like Kimpen Sonja, Sonja Bakker, Atkins, Montignac, etc aren’t necessarily bad for you. The trick is to find a diet that works for you. Listen to your body… it’ll tell you when a diet is bad for you. When you start living healthy, you’re not supposed to feel sick, so watch out for the symptoms and stop following a weight loss program when you feel sick. Get your head into the right place and go for it 110%
